Addis Ababa has an estimated population of 5 million people and is made up of a cluster of slums mixed with glamorous restaurants and new buildings. The increase in rate of early marriage, prostitution, child labour on the streets, and insecurity levels are some alarming signs in the capital. It is in this context that art can be used as an effective tool to expand possibilities and choice and empower vulnerable people in order they can create their own solutions to get out of poverty.
